Question 3100SS retractable steps

Purchased a 2011 3100SS last December from RVworld of Michigan. The first step getting in is about 14 inches off the ground. This is quite a step getting out also. I was looking at some pictures on RVT.com and it appears the older Sunseekers have a pull out step. Have the pull out steps been discontinued or missed when mind was assembled ????? I have been using a step stool that I made, but, it is not very stable getting in and out of the RV. Anyone know where I can get a bolt in step ???? Other 3100SS owners out there, do you have the step ?????

I have a 2013 3100 too. No steps underneath on the outside. FR did away with the steps in around 2009 / 2010 or so as part of a big redesign. The floor around the door dips down a little now instead. It doesn't seem like it's 14 inches but I haven't measured.

Seems about right. My 3120 is 13" and my KZ travel trailer has pull down steps and is 12 1/2". My rear air bag pressures were set too high upon delivery. Lower pressures can reduce it an inch or two.

Camping World has several different steps with folding legs. I have one that is aluminum with legs that adjust to two different heights. Very sturdy. Only need it when leveling with blocks has raised entry height from its normal.

Correct. I was at a dealership training this week when i was discussing WHY we eliminated the power step. Right next to us a salesperson was helping an a women into a motorhome. The batteries were dead and the power step was not out...so there was about a 24" first step. We try and keep them about 13"...which certainly beats 21" when the step fails to com out.
