3170 bunk beds

Anyone do a mod for a ladder for bunk beds? My 11 year old has a heck of a time getting on the top bunk, it's almost comical. Or is there a FR after market ladder I can purchase for it?

Good question. I think it has been covered but my grand daughter is 6 and getting a little weighty for the top. Mentioned this weekend about swapping with her 4 year old brother. You would have thought the world had stopped. Starting to think of a solution. Thinking of a rope ladder. They are good climbers. Anybody have a workable solution.

What is the weight limit for the top bunk? If it's not much, than I made a huge mistake in my purchase!

Excuse me, when I stated weighty, I meant she is getting a little heavy to lift. I did not want to imply that the top bunk would not support the weight of a six year old. I hope that top bunk will support a teenager.

We're just in the process of converting to aluminum from bunk ladders. One of those would probably work, might need to cut it down. (2) U-brackets and a front bunk ladder (just like the front cab over ladder) cut down and you're in business. I think I asked a while ago for a ladder for that top bunk. I might need to bring that up again.
