42" TV over cab in 3010DS- Does it open up?

We just took delivery of a 3010DS, with the 42 inch TV over the cab. The TV is a Vizio, and is mounted close to the panel. We gave it a tug to try to access the area behind, as it may be storage. Also we wanted to get access to the extra inputs and outputs on the TV for camera input, or USB input...?
It did not move, and the walkthru guy could not move it either... we did not pull really hard.. We will call FR too for info...
Anyone here have one of these, and found anything out about this???
Thanks, Mike

Following - need to know. Also think there might be some extra storage back there for non-regular needs. If it went in, it must come out. Remember there are line connections in the center cabinet area. Those should include cable in and HDMI in at least. There are through holes there and if need be another could be made or a hinged access panel could be put in there.

I have the same setup and wouldn't think of trying to move, plenyty of storage for my needs on either side. A tech at Best Buy told me when I had my door speakers replaced if I wanted a sound bar it plugs right into the left side looking at the TV. In case you didn't no that little button on the white recepticle has to be off when your using cable and on for regular tv.

It does not open up...

I was out at the dealer today, and it does not open up.
The access to the left side is kind of close, but possible.
The warranty rep said he would work with us if we wanted to try something.
But I think we will drop it.
And we do have a lot of storage,.... but not access to the I/O jacks..
I will repost if anything developse...
That's if for me.

I got access to my 42, by removing the wood 1" trim piece at the bottom of the TV. You can get a bit, better access to the connections and I was able to add an extra HDMI cord for an additional AUX input.
Pretty easy to do

The explanation for the three-coax connector is here:

Remember you have access to these right from the existing connectors in the cabinet:

• Antenna in coax
• Cable in coax
• Satellite in coax
• HDMI in

For RCA 3 plug or component video connectors to HDMI in plug you can get inexpensive adapters at Radio Shack or on Amazon, for example:

TV

I too could not figure out how to get behind my TV. There was a thread on here not too long ago about this. If you get your fingers underneath the TV and lift up, the TV will come loose and you can get to the back. Believe me though, there is no storage back there.

Our 2016 2250LE has a 32" in the center of the bunk area with twin beds on either side. During our initial look-over, I wondered the same thing. I hopped up on the bunk and looked behind the TV to find a 10"ish deep cabinet behind the TV. Waaaait a minute - it is a flatscreen, how do you get to the extra space behind it? There was a big grab handle above the TV. I was tugging on it when the salesman suggested that was a handle to assist in getting up into the bunks.
Then how to get to the space behind the TV?
He pulled on a cabinet pull handle located just under the TV - the panel that the TV is mounted on opened up from the bottom (hinge on top) revealing the space, and has two gas struts to hold it open. The wiring is wadded up in the top of the space, then exits the cabinet through the right wall. The upper section also contains the 12V power port for the TV and the antenna connections with a switch for the amplifier.

Where does your power plug into? Can you see/follow the antenna/input/power leads from the TV?

Here's the floorplan in our 2250LE; it has the optional cabover twin beds:

Does your unit have a box/space behind the TV? If so, there's got to be a way into it.

Hope that helps!

There is plenty of wasted storage behind the TV in the entertainment setup. Here's what a 2401W looks like behind the 42" TV after opening up the panel. Haven't figured out what we'll put up there yet surely nothing that will side around and damage the TV.
