Add a cold side low point drain?
As far as I can see my 2015 3170ds does not have a cold side low point drain. Has anyone added one?

It should have 3 total drains.
Fresh water.
Cold water.
Hot water.
One pipe down below may be two connected up above in a hidden compartment.
My flagstaff had "1" low point drain tube under the camper but inside under a closet in a hidden compartment there were "2" valves one for hot and cold.
Normally real close to your water pump.

I have a drain for the fresh water tank and a drain for the hot water side. I know the fresh water drain only drains the fresh water tank because I have had it open when the city water was hooked up and nothing came out. As far as I can tell the hot water pipe only drained hot water. The rest of the water came out when removed the filter housing. I was thinking of adding a cold water side drain so removing the filter housing would not make such a mess.

I have a 2012 and don't know if things have changed but it has a tank drain which is controlled useing a valve next to the water filter. There are also a red drain (hot) and blue drain (cold) which are controlled by caps under the coach. The cold drain comes off the piping in the coach down stream and slightly elevated above the filter so it doesn't help with spillage while changing the filter. However there is a drain plug in the compartment directly below my filter which drains any spillage out.
You can check the piping design drawings to see what it should have. Maybe it was left off at the factory. My unit (for a different problem) was not plumbed per design which required a rework.

Exactly what I have on my 2014. I haven't scoped out the capped red line, but I'm fairly sure it's not just a hot water drain. I believe it's the house drain. Just not the lowest point since some water flows when removing the filter.

I guess it changed. I only have one cap and one open pipe sticking out. I was hoping a cold side drain would drain the lines above the filter to limit the spillage. Not a big deal just something to think about iver the winter.

Btw noticing your info.
You should always add year "make" and model when requesting info.
You can also add it to your profile and signature line to help other users.
Bclemens should be able to help on this as well.

Is there any chance anyone could post a pic of the low point drains? I know where the freshwater tank is, but I can't wrap my mind around where the other two are. 2013 3170 DS. Thanks for any help!

My 2014 2300 is the same... the FW tank drain, the hot line drain, and remove the water filter to drain the cold side.

That is similar to mine. I have no hot water low point drain other than the hot water heater plug. The cold low point drain hose is flush to the fresh water drain hose. I don't have a lever for the freshwater drain but I do have a cap on the line under the coach. Low point does have a lever next to the water filter but no cap for the hose underneath. Per another thread, the bypass valve on the back do the heater allows water from both lines into the low point cold, at least I hope so!
