Add a spare drawer latch to spare parts

Ours broke during a trip. Wouldn't stay closed. Had to run a long handled spoon through handle to next drawer to keep it closed. Looks like the original was cracked during installation, another victim of a power screw driver. Pick one up and keeo in your spare parts box. 2 min to replace. Original holes line up.

Agree. After replacing two already on my '17 Forester, I bought two additional to keep on hand. Went to a RV store and they wanted 16.00 each. Bought them from Amazon for half that. They do not hold up. Does anyone know of a durable substitute?

Been there. Question: When will these mfgrs stop with the less then perfect installations? Quality control issues. Son-in-law just bought brand new TT, already back to the dealer, just one trip.

Just bought a 4 pack

of those Chinese latches for my 2017 Sunseeker. $16.00 shipped from amazon. I may look into a different latch after my trip.

Tired of loosing $$$ and getting upsetted, I am on the process of replacing the plastic latches by the ones I got in the regular hardware store.

They are made of brass and are adjustable; I paid 5$cnd.

Sorry, couldn't join image. Just browse web for drawer latch for RV to see image.

Do your have make and model number to go by? Googled and saw a variety of latches. I'm with you!

Well been there too. 2,000 miles from home and the latch broke, coupled with the bottom falling out of the drawer. Lucky to have found a dealer in New Mexico who had a couple on the rack, snagged both of them. They glued the thin bottom back to the sides free of charge, made their profit on the latches.

Why replace a cheaply made latch with another one? I went to Home Depot and got a real latch.

I will replace with better latches from lowes in the near future. I needed something fast for my trip so I have four spares now.
