Hoglou, congrats on the order. Only thing more exciting than ordering one is picking it up and using it. Hope it comes in soon for you. Wife and I look forward to the day when we can get in a unit of that size (when kids are out of the nest). Lots of RV in a small package.

Thanks! Now question one

Thanks guys for the congrats...

We have been popup people, but now it is just the DW and me, we now want to focus more on the trip and not the destination. We are the first order for this dealer and we collectively came to the conclusion that a satt dish on top of the coach was not available from the factory on the 2300u. Will probably have dealer install a wineguard non motion unit for us at PDI. Hope to push satt music thur the 5.1 system. That along with a small YETI and a small compressor are the only planned mods unless you guys have other required improvements.

- Question one: Who, what, and where did the dome get placed on the 2300u?
I would like to have a little knowledge about the best install set up.

I will work on a sig block.....

If I had to guess it'd be mounted somewhere just behind the cabover portion of the roof, but I never paid much mind to them. We never did the dome. Too many times we camp with shade trees where it wouldn't work. I like my shade more than TV in the summer. 9 out of 10 campsites we choose are like this. We have always had a Winegard set up, the small manual one like a suit case, and have run as much as 75' of cable to find a good clearing. $160 or so and I got mine set up almost as fast as the auto one. Watched plenty of people with the auto dish moving motorhome around trying to get a good clear spot for it. I'm sure the dome is nice if you always set up in a clear spot. As for the in motion dome, we didn't have TVs in vehicles growing up, and have stuck to that with my kids. I know some people love them, but, just doesn't work for us.

Table top

I have got a table top dish we use for tailgating, I want to watch Finding Bigfoot without setting anything up. My new career goal is to be lazy when possble. Actually we plan to be on the move a great deal and tv needs to be simplfied. Still flipping back and forth between king and wineguard, any thoughs on their product quality?

Understandable. Hopefully somebody will chime in on the pros and cons of each brand of dome. I can't help out much there.

Question 2: manuals

I read a post here from years past (last page) about buying the complete set of manuals for $25.00. Anyone know of this or have done it? At minumim I am collecting pdfs about the incoming coach. Got links?

I got manuals for all the various components included at delivery. There is not one "owners manual". I also collected manuals off websites while I was waiting for delivery. There should not be a cost for any of these. Just as important as manuals is all the explanations that should be part of the PDI with your dealer. Take notes, pictures, video.

When we picked up our new Sunseeker last August, there was a FR owners manual. It was for all motorized products. As such, it's pretty generic and not the most up to date. That's been discussed on here already though. By the way, FR has a PDF of the manual on their website now. I can't recall for certain but its within a link at the bottom of the page named something like owner support.

Maybe shouldn't mention this here but Winnebago's website has a pretty good library of manuals. I have perused their info. Remember that a lot of the components in a motor home are similar across manufacturers. So Winnebago's direction about a certain appliance, for example, at least loosely applies to FR too.

We just purchased a 2013 Sunseeker 2300 4500 on Chevy chasis.
People put it on consignment at Quartsite with 3,200 miles. We got an excellent deal on a basically new unit with lots of upgrades.
My question is: we assumed it was 23 ft. think the dealer told us that as well, but I read here it is actually 25 ft. Not that it matters, just curious...
