Adding Blue ox trucenter
I contacted a local dealer about buying and having them install this. The price is around 900.00 and 2 hours of labor at 150.00 an hour. Is this something a mechanic can add at a big rig shop?
Those who had something like this added, did you notice a difference?

What exactly are you talking about !i added a reflex steering stabalizer for less than 150$ and installed it in less than an hour. Added blue ox rear track bar for less than 500$ and that includes 30 minutes of labor at alignment shop. Sounds like someone is ripping you a new one.

You can get a Roadmaster reflex steering stabalizer or something similar for somewhere around 250-300$ including mounting brackets. It's less than a half hour to install at any front end or garage shop. I wouldn't pay anyone over 50$ to install and they can set it also after they drive it a few miles. I would say anyone that can put a bicycle together can do your install. Look at camping world, amazon, ebay, adventure Rv, just to name a few places.

Sorry I looked up the price on the blue ox tru center. It is very expensive. I guess 900$ wouldn't be a bad price if that is what you want. I cant imagine putting that much money in a steering stabalizer with so many on the market at much more reasonable pricing. I would look at some of the others suggestions for steering stabalizers for people with your model sunseeker or Forester. Mine is a 3050s sunseeker, it now drives great at any speed with cross winds or not. The Roadmaster reflex steering was the last thing I did just for the cross winds.

Boso, would that steering stabilizer have an advantage on any pickup pulling a trailer of any kind?

Ford hauler I don't know I never added anything to the front end of any of my Ford trucks f250 or 150. They always pulled good and straight.

That thing looks way too complicated.
As stated- Roadmaster Reflex..$200 with brackets for a Chevy installed in an hour.

Hey, I get it. It's like rudder trim on an airplane. If you've ever driven across west Texas or anywhere flat with a constant cross wind it makes sense. Wish they had a competitor to drive the price down though.

I have family in TX and went from Lubbock to New Orleans the day after christmas. Just as the tornado warnings, the wind was just as scary.

I have a tru center on my Berkshire and love it. Installed myself. On my previous class c, ford e450, I had a safe-t-plus, hellwig front and rear sway bars and bilstein shocks. Kept it nice and stable, decreased body lean on corners and wind sway/push. Great setup. All of those were done by me as well. Can easily be done with a decent set of tools and some mechanical abilities. Lots of choices out there. Good luck.

Well, I guess then it would be best to find a trusted RV repair/maintenance facility
