adding brakelights to 2007 Sunseeker model 2250

http://s1067.photobucket.com/user/hikerpatrick/library/<iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s1067.photobucket.com/user/hikerpatrick/embed/slideshow/"></iframe>

I hope the photos linked....anyway I'm hoping to add brake lights to the 2007 Sunseeker model 2250. Have motorcycle mounted on rear and the existing lights are hard to see. What is the inside of the rear wall made of? It is not hollow and might have some surprises....figured someone here has seen the inside and could shed some light please. I removed the existing lights but could not look up in there (they were nicely framed in).

Why not just add lights to the motorcycle rack and plug them into the trailer light socket?. I did that on another rig I had when I could not see the lights.

Thanks Total for the response. My first plan was to get trailer lights and use the hitch plug. But have you ever followed a boat trailer? The brake lights are not "obvious". Figure having the lights at eye level would be added safety.

Some of the new LED lighting is excellent.
We use VERY bright units on the race car light bar.

Here are some inset ones from e-trailer.
There are many others.

Miro-Flex Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - LED - Waterproof - 12 Diodes - Red Lens Optronics Trailer Lights STL22RB

I have my motorcycle mounted at frame level on my 2251.
I can see my lights through the gaps very nicely.
I have newer LED taillamps on my unit and don't really have a need for additional lighting but I put a small LED in the center of the rack for safety since it sticks out a few feet from the rig..
Looks bright at night. Sorry I don't have a photo at night.

Thanks again for photo. Looks just like my rig with a Honda dual sport and only one mtn bike on mine. I've also looked into replacing the brake lights with led one's but it's not a clear sight for the poor folks following me. Imagine having the round brake lights about 10 inches above the existing lights. Safety doesn't matter until it does. The other "shoe" to drop is the fact that my license plate is not clearly visible. I guess I'll just wait to get a "safety award" before I deal with that one too. I'm full time with this set up going on six years so I guess I'm just over thinking it......

X2 It's what I use on my toad because bikes obscure tail lights especially when using a cover

Wonder if any law enforcement will want to see your plate/tag on the rear?

Sorry this is late. What adapter do you use to "plug into a trailer light socket"?

Get a 7 prong to 4 prong flat adapter.
Any trailer supply store has them.

Thank you. I believe that is a trailer light connector not socket.
