Air Pressure in rear Air Shocks

Do you guys put any air in your shocks when traveling even when not towing? if so how much?

65 psi seems about right for mine

I have the Airlift 1000 rear bags and the mfgr specifies 5 psi as a minimum pressure at all times. The wireless controller automatically keeps the system at that pressure.

I usually have 50 (set it before I go on a short trip and don't recheck for return)
Mine do bleed down over time but not a lot for 4-5 day trip
I find the coach takes the bumps and dips so much better and handling is better in wind and with passing trucks
I just bought a small rechargeable compressor that will be dedicated to airbags and bicycle/motorcycle/trailer tire service while on the road
Now I will top them off for the return trip

You have air bags not air shocks. Just don't exceed 100 lbs.

Do these help with the ride or make it a more rough ride?

Depends. Load, amount of air in bags. Trial and error. Just don't go under 5lbs. or over 100lbs air pressure. I tow a car trailer behind mine with 2 dogs (150lbs) and 2 adults, depending which car is on the trailer and how long we are gone for, 75 to 100lbs in bags.

I just took a long trip and don't think I had any air in them.

No wonder she rode so rough, off course the roads sucked as well.

If you went too long without any air, they may be damaged. Or maybe not..with a little luck they may be ok. See if they will hold air.
