Turn water off, open faucets then i place a short bucket under the filter cannester then use the plastic wrench once the cannester is loose then lower it into the bucket this helps eliminates a spill on the floor it will go in the bucket then remove the bucket with the cannester in it.....once you re-install the cannester ONLY HAND TIGHTEN, DO NOT USE THE PLASTIC WRENCH.....
