Anyone remove the carpet in the bedroom?

I would like to remove the carpet in the bedroom and I am hoping the vinyl flooring in the rest of the coach is under the carpet as well. Has anyone done that? Does the vinyl floor run under the carpet too? Is it in good enough shape if you remove the carpet?

Thanks.

If there is vinyl under the carpet and depending on how many staples they used it might be ok. If there is a heat register in the floor you can remove it and see if they put vinyl all the way thru. On my fiver the carpet is the only floor covering they put.

I think you will find wood under the carpet that's what I saw in the factory tour.

I agree with Deuce. If linoleum was not originally installed it is most likely plywood under the carpet.

Our Lexington is an older cousin to your Sunseeker. We had carpet in the bedroom and living room areas. Pulling a vent in the living room showed wood under the carpet. DH removed the kitchen vinyl and the living room carpet and replaced it with new vinyl. Bit of a chore but what an improvement!

On my 2011 I can verify that there is no vinyl under the carpet, it is wood. I want to replace the carpet also, but have not made a decision on how to go. The carpet also goes underneath the bed frame cabinetry and under the wardrobe/drawer cabinetry. Have not decided how to handle that either.
