Unhappy Awning Cleaner

Got some stains on the awning that look like rust streaks.
Bought a cleaner the dealer recommended call Martins "Extra Duty"
Totally useless.
Can anyone recommend a good safe awning/vinyl cleaner?
Thanks.

I've used Purple Power. It does a good job on awnings and black marks on the camper. You can get it at hardware and auto parts stores. If you have rust spots CLR might be the thing to use. I would try diluting it first before using it full strength. I use that to get the hard water and rust spots off my tub and some other metal objects. Never tried it on an awning though...

X2 on the Purple Power, or just a bleach/water solution. Climb up on the roof of the camper with the awning extended. Soak the awning down and then roll it up for about 1/2hr. Unroll and use a brush on any stubborn remaining stains, and rinse real good.

I really like the cheap route here. 2 gallons of water and half cup of bleach.... Brush on, roll up, wait 20 min, un-roll, rinse off and brush some stains again if needed

I used dollar store Awesome cleaner on mineworked like a charm. Sprayed it on full strength, than brushed itclran, and rinsed it off. But I'm in the category of "never volunteering to clean the awning again club". Messy and WET job.

You can also use Tilex on the really bad spots.
Spray, Roll up, wait 20-30 min, unroll and rinse.

I have been using both methods for years now.

X's whatever number we're on. We use bleach / water sometimes, but mostly purple power. Spray on, roll up, 15 minutes, roll out, wash off. If we wait too long in between washes, sometimes ill scrub a little after its soaked. We do the same on slide tops.
