Back up camera

Ours doesn't work. Called our dealer, he can get to me in (maybe) June. He suggested calling Forest River for the location of the fuse and junction box and gave me a number. No answer, "Leave a msg ..etc" but they never did. With May about to spring out, its becoming a more critical problem. Any thoughts on self trouble shooting the system? tnx

What brand is it? It's not coming on at all? No sound, no picture? Is it not coming on in reverse? Will it come on when you hit the power button. Did it not work out of storage? More details will help.

Back-Up Camera

Not sure of brand but stock to our 13 2690sf. Nothing shows any time either using reverse, or trying various buttons, not even any lights in buttons. Someone I seem to remember mentioned a connection box under the dash above the steering column, but I couldn't see/find it. The wires all disappear so I haven't had any luck on physically tracing them. Any help would be appreciated.

oops

Missed a question: It stopped working during our last trip. Worked one day; not the next.

You have to pull down the "hush panel" on the Ford. box will be located up on top of the steering column.

My backup camera on my 5th wheel works only when I turn my headlights on thenthe camera on the back of the trailer and the remote display talk to each other. I think the camera gets its power from the lights. I may not be talking about the same thing I don't seem to have the beginning of this thread so I hope this helps

check camera settings

My backup camera has buttons on the right side to turn on/off and to activate any side cameras. If a side camera was selected and you didn't have one, nothing is displayed. This happened on mine and I thought it was broken, until I hit the selection button again and the rear view was displayed.

Tnx bcclemens. I pocked around around the steering column but didn't find anything. I'm not sure what the "hush panel" is though and that may be why.

Hush panel is the panel below the steering column. That you just yank on and it will come down/off.
