Battery button question

We have a 2013 3010ds and on the side of the drivers seat kin of at the bottom, is a switch of some kind I just noticed. Anyone know what this would be for? Thanks!

That is your Remote Emergency Start. If you run down the engine battery, hold the switch in while you turn the ignition. That allows juice to flow from coach battery (or batteries if you have two) to the engine battery.

I believe it will also work to start the generator if you run down the coach battery. I was dry camping once and ran my coach batteries down thinking I could just start the generator to recharge them. Forgot the generator needs the coach batteries to start and it has no manual start. This time I started the chassis engine and it's 200 amp alternator was enough to start the generator.

Battery button

ATVr is correct--When you start the chassis engine and coach batteries are down on my Sunseeker 2250, I hear the relay kick in (no need to hold in the button) and you can then use the power to start the generator. I found this out the hard way last winter, forgot to turn the battery disconnect to off during storage and after a few weeks the coach batteries were down.
