bclemens question: Sunseeker 3010DS TP holder???
Brian - Can you please tell me, are the "end posts for towel" (square holes in ends) interchangeable with the toilet paper holder that is supposed to come with the unit (which, I would think, would have round holes in the ends)? The dealer insists that the box labeled "END POSTS FOR TOWEL" with the serial number 2106-OB is a toilet paper holder. For the kind of money we just dropped on a brand-new unit, I would think the proper things would be present when we picked it up (we just had it in for multiple problems and repairs after the first weekend). Thank you for your help with this...I know it seems minor but it is a profound annoyance.

I too was puzzled with the round peg into the square hole when I got my Forester earlier this year but I asked the question here and was assured that the square hole brackets are the correct holders. It seems strange but it works just the same as a round holder would and that is the holder that is supplied by Forest River.

Thanks anyway, bclemens, but Mike from FR called me and told me that I am, indeed, expected to use towel bar ends as a toilet paper holder. Combined with all the other problems (striker bolts, toad wiring, shower door sweep failing after 3 showers, screws in threshold driven in cockeyed, design flaw with sewer dump door vis-a-vis black tank flush...and that's only what we found the first weekend), to say I am disappointed with this unit is a grotesque understatement.

Not sure what the problem is with the TP holder. Works just fine and has for 3 years. Checked mine at home and found 2 out of 4 were the same, so it must be a common thing.

There is a difference between a mortising machine and a doweling jig.

I know people think I'm making a stink over nothing, but it's not the TP holder...it's the TP holder combined with a dozen other problems, some of them safety issues, some of them design flaws (anybody tried to use the hold-open snap on their sewer bin while the black tank flush is hooked up? Yeah...me either), and some of them just sloppy fit-and-finish which, at the price, should not be a problem. Getting some resolved and living with the rest. I do appreciate everybody's input.
