Be Aware.

When we picked up our new 2018 Sunseeker from an RV dealer in Des Moines, we thought we got a great PDI. Well what they showed us was okay. We asked if the tires had been checked for air pressure and were the Firestone airbags inspected. The answer to both questions was definitely yes. Well we drove 1500 miles home and when we got there went to Discount Tire to get warranty on tires and when they checked the tires they found ALL six were under inflated (20 pounds under what they should have been).

We tried to put air in the airbags but air wouldn't travel through the hose to the air bag. Took out the valve stem but no air came out. Checked the other side and it only had about 15 lbs of air. This is presently being repaired by a different RV dealer. We emailed the selling dealer over a week ago and have gotten no response.

I guess it would be advisable for everyone to see the tire pressure and if you have air bags see the air bag pressure before you leave the dealer.

We really like the Sunseeker.

The bottom line is take anything told to you by an RV dealer with a grain of salt and if its a safety item check it yourself.

I donít know of very many RV dealers that give great service and the one you refer to is no different. I asked them for a callback twice. A year ago and this spring and Iím still waiting. Tire pressure is a subjective topic on all forums as you will soon learn. You really need weights of each corner to help determine the air pressure for the best ride. Most name brand companies have a load chart on their website to help determine the air pressure. As for the airbags, they donít care if they because when you leave itís somebody elseís problem, not theirs. Itís sad that so many dealers see it that way. I wish you luck and hope the airbags are an easy fix.

As far as Discount Tire
if I get anything done there
I have learned to also double check.
I have found them to not
be as good as they used to be.

Smile Be Aware

Just wanted to post a good situation. We have a 2018 Sunseeker GTS.

We had to have our Firestone air bags repaired. We couldn't get air into one of them. Also one of the Big Foot jacks light wouldn't go out when they were taken up. Well we took it to Anthem RV in Anthem, AZ and we are so happy for the job they did. Everything was repaired.

So if you live in Arizona and need a new RV go see them. Nice people to deal with.

Being a RV tech for several years as well as working in a factory building RV's ( several years ago). I saw first hand that less than half of the work force could care less
My advise is that when you do find a good tech that takes pride in what they do is that you continue using them.
I'm in a different field now but do all of my own repairs and adjustments on my Sunseeker mostly because I Really don't care to drive 2 hours to the dealer for something I can do myself

In my experience no dealers care about anything except that they get your money once. I use a mobile repair guy that I trust and do what I can myself.
