Best Roof Vent Covers
Just installed new fantastic fan. Anyone have suggestions or experience with best roof vent cover for fan.

Not sure if they are the best, but I have never had any problem with Max Air Covers. Have used them on 4 campers over 15 years.

So you can leave your vents open in the rain or while driving. They also add an extra layer or protection for you vents.
I have always used MaxxAir on my campers and they have been great..

The Fantastic Fan requires a special roof vent cover. I know this because on our recent Windjammer purchase we ordered it with two fantastic fans. One comes standard in the bathroom, the other we added to the kitchen vent. When it arrived from the factory, the standard bathroom one had a roof cover on it, but not the extra one we had ordered. I knew already that I wanted the dealer to install the MaxxAir covers on the remaining, but they told me FR had to send them the one for the other Fantastic Fan.

Check out the fantastic vent covers. They were designed specifically for the fantastic fan. There is a video if you google them on the air flow and the resistance of other covers when used with their fans and I found it very informative. It sold me, I ordered 4 of them and put them on my non powered vents as well. I must say I have great airflow, much better than I have had in any of my previous trailers,, I am a believer but make your own decision. I watched the video a few times and went for them.

The Max Air vent cover would not fit, so purchased the Fantastic Cover at CW. The installation required cutting much of the sealant (not the roof) and being uncomfortable with cutting while under warranty, decided to let the local dealer install the vent.
The vent was fully open the last week, faces west and not a drop from the major storms we had. Very impressed with the air flow. I opened the door to the TT and could feel the air rising up to the vent.

I have a MaxxAir II over my fantastic vent in my bathroom. Ordering a TurboMaxx for my other vent.

The Maxair II's have a larger vent area and are super easy to install and also very easy to open to clean out. They easily accommodate the fantastic type fans and cost a lot less. Installed 2 each on my unit over fantastic fans. no complaints.

X2. Been using them on our last 3 campers. Currently FanMate over our Fantastic fan and MaxxAirII over high power bathroom fan.

Isn't the outside frame of the Fantastic fan made out of plastic? If installing the Max Aire11 it attaches to the side frame of the vent which I prefer to removing some caulk with the Fantastic vent cover, but with the frame being made of plastic I wouldn't want to attach the vent cover in that fashion.

I tend to prefer the Ultrabreeze as well just based on their video with regards to air flow restriction, but just not crazy about removing screws and caulk and having to re-caulk on a brand new trailer, but maybe I just need to suck it up and do it.

I use the cheapo (19.99) Camco covers from WallyWorld on my Fantastic fans. Easiest to install. Just crowd them to the rear of the rv to clear.

When installing the MaxAire2 on the Fantastic Fan....the curb on the fan is made of plastic...no problem drilling the screws into there for the mounting brackets? Some fans have a curb with a metal flange but the Fantastic fan is plastic.
