Yes, you could order one through parts. Me personally? I would not buy just any cutting board/sink cover, partly because I was heavily involved in sourcing the black one.
We used to use the regular old white cutting board ones...when a dealer posed a few issues.
1. Being universal, they never really fit well. Sliding around all the time.
2. they were very thin...which did not hold them into place very well with bumps and turns.
3. They were white. Even after bleaching them, they could never get the stains out. So even though they were sanitized...the white just stained and didn't look it.
So I set out for the perfect sink cover. First, we doubled the thickness to add weight (and seat down into the sink better). Two, we switched to black (same exact cutting board plastic as the white...just in black) so that the stains did not show and it matched the appliances better. Three we had them take our stainless steel sinks, get a computer image and had them C&C route the sink covers to fit our sinks perfectly. No more universal, bad fit.
Who knew there would be such a history on a simple little sink cover? (now you know the rest of the story...)
And for those of you going out and buying inferior sink covers. Shame on you! You're robbing me of my livelihood. I make exactly $0.00 in royalties on every one sold.
I'll have to credit Terry Harris for posing the problems...since I know he's reading these boards now. And plus he's getting double my royalty on every one sold.
