Brake Plug?
I'm looking for the factory plug under the dash of the E-450 2012 3120 DS?
This is the pigtail that the brake controller hooks into.
Anyone know for sure where this plug is?

The 2012 E450 has a trailer brake controller as an option. The controller would be located just above and to the left of the radio in the same area as a coin holder. If your motor home is not equipped with a factory brake controller, then the wiring connector should be behind the coin holder. You may have to get an adapter plug to hook in an after market controller.

If you find it, please take a picture and let me know! I've looked everywhere under the dash and behind the radio with no luck. I want to use the brake control lead as a brake signal indicator for the Invisibrake in my toad.

This was on etrailer.com, Not sure if thats what your 2012 dash looks like. I have heard that they are on the passenger side of the radio. I was also told by the shop that is working on my hitch that even some of the new Fords still put it right by the e-brake pedal so it may be worth taking a look there.

As grizzly mentioned, I believe it is the connector on the backside of the coin holder on the dash. I will get ahold of my ford service guy to verify this. pictures attached to help you locate.

zook, those pictures I posted are of a cab chassis on the line right where yours was built...I am certain that yours will have the exact same plug behind the dash. Like i said though, i am waiting for the service tech to call me back to verify that it is indeed the brake controller plug.

Jamiller I was informed by Unified Tow Brake to use the AP Products adapter EC-4129 Pigtail marked Winnebago, that one has a small 3/4" square plug.. but I had also gotten a Pigtail from PPL that looks close to matching the plug you show in the picture.. so still not 100% what one I need.
But thank you very much in advance for the help so far..looks like I'm not the only one in need of this info..

Along with the pix... Thanks! Now all I gotta do is figure how to remove the dash bezel to get to it. Did you notice... is it actually attached to a dash bezel somehow?

Ok this morning I got to the plug, it is as simple as pulling on the dash trim around the Radio, don't be scared just grasp it and pull.. this plug is directly behind the coin holder... more to follow..

This is the picture of the wiring harness I got from PPL for the Ford, as you can see it is a plug and play for the Prodigy brake controller,, my problem is the Controller for the Unified has different pig tails and the one I have does not match up.

So my question is if I splice the plugs together what one is what? on the controller side I'm being told Black is ground, Red is Keyed power, Orange is brake lights, and Blue is line,
so on the Coach side is
Blue line?
Red?
Black?
White?

ok here we go... on the top row of the plug starting with the yellow red and working towards the blue...
y/r - constant hot
purple - brake signal
black - ground
white/orange stripe - ignition switched on
I dont know what the blue wire does, it wasn't giving me anything. but the 4 above should be all you need. if you need help matching up how to splice them together or anything else just let me know.
