Brian help me
Closed on our new 3011DS, what a great looking rig. Got
the new counter tops, stove cover and side out pantry. Plus
the bedroom window is gone, yea...
But I screwed up the order and instead of ordering a
outside TV entertainment center I got the radio one
instead, boohoo.
So I think I read some where that there is a loose TV
cable behind the radio. Is that true? If so I can
probably rig up a hanger for a outside TV.
Anyone else got an idea?
Thanks
Phelpo

I have a 2012 with the radio outside entertainment center and it has a coax TV antennae connection on it. No problem to connect a TV. Hopefully it was not eliminated when the outside TV option came out.

The place where you ordered the RV should be able to tell you. Also since you just ordered I'm sure you can change it. I made a major change to my order about 2 weeks afterwards and that was when lead time was about six weeks. Last I read lead time now is even longer.

All is not lost. Now you have the go ahead to buy an even bigger TV for outside.
#1. There will be a coax hookup on the outside. It should be behind an exterior recept cover. I recall a coax on the radio box...but I think that was for an extra antenna. (my memory betrays me)
#2 The outside radio is also a DVD player so no worries there.

Brian, are you saying if I'm hooked up to cable
that the coax will allow me to watch my super
large tv outside???
How much weight can the side of the rig handle???
I'm thinking 72" tv....

Yes...that cable gets split to the outside.
I never said anything about attaching to the side of the rig now...proceed at your own risk.
Just like this guy...if you lift that rig up, I'm guessing there is a 96" Projection TV under there bolted to the sidewall.

ok I'll back off the 96" you sure have a lot of pics like
this one. Was this the one you were delivering ???
On another note, the new counter tops are excellent,
we like the new cover for the stove, and slide out
pantry is really nice, and the window less head board
is out of site.....great job FR.

Phelpo, the high pressure laminate countertops and flush cooktop cover are standard only on the Forester. However, they are available as an option on the Sunseeker. Fortunately I found out before it was too late and ordered them on my 3010.

I wasn't thinking that at all. Forgive me if I gave that impression. I was just pointing out a difference between the Forester and Sunseeker. Some viewers may not even know that the countertops changed for 2015.
I've only been a Ft. Myers area resident for a couple years, but am enjoying very much. No snow to shovel and I no longer have to winterize the RV.

Glad to hear you liked the upgrades.
Just so everyone is aware, there is no conspiracy, we are not trying to cut money out once you order a unit. We make changes all the time that WE consider upgrades.
I had one recently. Customer got all those upgrades you got, BUT we switched from a Magnadyne radio to a Jensen radio. This upgraded the NAV and added the Sirius tuner and antenna as a standard item on the Jensen. Unfortunately (and we never thought about it), the new radios don't have Weather Band. With all the smart phones and XM weather channels, we don't know of anyone that uses the weather band. However we had one customer feel like we lied to them.
So again, glad you liked the changes. We really do have the best of intentions when making them.

Just FYI--the weather band on the Magnadyne is mostly useless. Since the antenna is the fender mount, it doesn't pick up much of anything on weather. Have my own portable weather radio or like you said, use phone.

I just ordered a 2501 with a July 14 delivery. Will it have a Jensen or Magnadyne radio? I am interested in installing the Sirius XM, the Jensen would do the trick.

It will be the Jensen. The Sirius tuner and antenna will already be installed.
I was just about to publish the attached to our dealers. (Rough draft only)

Yes, we use gravity fill only. Seems to work for those with a hose and for those without a hose.
