bunkhouse slide proublum

On my 2011 3170 the bunk slide goes partway out then the front stops and the rear goes until it is cocked then stops. I read the Manuel on this slide on the lippert web site and understand the operation and how it is put together. When i was looking for obstructions I found a flexible wire loom stuck under the trim between the bunks and the wardrobe it looks as if it should be attached to some point on the slide and move with the slide because it does not jam under the trim till the slide moves 6 to 8 inches but cant see under slide good enough to tell where it goes. Was wondering if any one else has seen this or if bclemens could come up with a document or pictures of the wire loom under the slide do not know yet if this is the problem or not because I still have to check system voltage but I do know this wire loom should not jam like that.

I'll have to take a look. Those wire looms simply run from the motors to the brain that is supposed to sync the two motors.

Found my problem this weekend. The screws holding the rails onto the slide room were striped and or missing allowing the slide to drop down on the front causing the wire harness to catch on bottom of slide and putting room in a bind. I jacked up the slide and screwed the rail back in place and it works as it should. I would recommend to anyone that has a schwintec slide to check the mounting screws on all 4 of the rails I had loose or missing screws on each rail .

Yes, I'm often finding those little tiny screws loose on the rails too. They just don't seem big or long enough IMHO.

What screws did you use to replace the missing ones?

I just used the same type of screw that came out and added one screw between each screw. Looked like a standard deck screw to me.There does not seem to be anything but thin aluminum and press board or whatever they call it and if you go to long with screws they will stick into room. I have mine fixed for now but if they keep coming loose how long till there is nothing to screw to.
