I definitely see what you're saying, however dealers are trying to sell and move product they're not hoping to be on the lot for too long in my opinion so why would they care about protecting the roof from the sun or rain?
If your dealer is not selling you the Permapro by Classic Accessories, I would walk away from the cover .
