Ceiling speaker cover removal??

Does anyone know the proper way to pop the cover off of this ceiling speaker from a 2014 Sunseeker 3100? I've tried various prying methods but don't want to break anything. Also, who would be the manufacturer of this speaker? Thanks.

I had to have a loose wire repaired in one of my speakers, just like yours. The RV dealer said it's an easy pop off. May have to cut the seam with a knife, but easy to pop back on.

I'm not too enthused about cutting anything with a knife. There would surely seem to be an easier, lass potentially damaging way to get the cover off. Thanks for the reply.

I just saw a cover off today...ran out of off white and are subbing white. Seems there was a tab at each long end that pried off. I'm flying to the Denver RV show tomorrow or I would confirm in the morning.

So, I should pry on both ends at the same time from the ceiling down? Hmmmm, I'll check that out. BTW, Brian, would you be coming to the Tampa, Florida RV Supershow next week?

I tried for several minutes to pry the covers off in my 3010 with no luck. I finally said hell with it and popped them off with a screwdriver, breaking the tabs in the process. It doesn't seem there's any easy way to get them off. In my case it really didn't matter as I was replacing them anyway.

So, is there tabs on the cover that fit over ear-like projection nubs on the base? Are they on both far ends, do you remember? Do you still have them?

If I remember correctly, there were tabs on all sides of the cover, which is what made it so difficult to remove. I don't remember now if I actually broke the tabs or just really chewed up the plastic cover with the screwdriver.

I don't still have them. I threw them in the trash, which is where they belong IMO.

Yes, you do prop off with the tabs, but you have to cut the seam. That's why you couldn't get it off. I can now see the difference between that speaker and the other speaker that hasn't been removed yet, but it's subtle.

I just popped mine off with a screwdriver but it left very small marks which I filed down with a nail file. I did not have to 'cut the seam' and I saw no signs of any sealant on the seam when I got it off but could be different for others.

Here is a trick I should have used and will next time., Heat it up pretty warm with a hair dryer. Even getting a lens off the ceiling lights goes better if you get it good and warm.
