Have you looked in the hose connection?

Black water check valve

I had same issue with my brand new XLR from the factory. They installed the valve backwards at the factory. It is located in the cabinet under the bathroom sink.

Those valves can also go bad. Ours had a backflow hooked to the outside hose connection, so I just took the valve under the bathroom sink out along with all the hoses.

Check valve is somewhere in the line between connection and tank

The problem I am having is when I try to flush my black tank, I hear water going into the tank, but I also have water running out by the rear tire fender well. Any thoughts on this?

Could be a cracked valve or a hole in your line and that's where it is draining out.
