Class C Sales Soar
We ordered a Sunseeker on 23 March. When we were trying to decide which floor plan back in Jan/Feb, folks on this forum mentioned the typical order time was 6-8 weeks. We hit 9 weeks on Friday. The RVIA sales charts detail that TTs up 10% this year, and Class A up about 12%. However, Class C was up 25% in Feb, 52% in March, and 64.5% in April over last year. Anyone know what the current delivery weeks are?

On another thread bclemens (FR rep) just said they are running 12 weeks currently.

Yeah, 6-8 used to be the norm...not so much any more. Retail orders get preferential treatment...but we've had so many, its not so special any more.
Your unit is in the schedule (unless there is another Carozzoni out there ordering a 2650.)
Looks like a couple more weeks before it comes offline unfortunately.
On the bright side, it will be a 2014.

I ordered my 3170 Sunseeker from Portland, OR in May 2012, and it arrived late September 2012, I picked it up mid October 2012. Yeppers, that makes it 12 weeks. But timing was ok for me, as I was gone all summer.

bclemens - Just out of curiosity:
1. How many Sunseekers are built at one time?
2. How long does it take to build one?
Thanks.

1. It's an assembly line process so it's a little tricky. We can fit maybe 30 units in the building at once? roughly. But we only technically schedule/build 16 a day right now.
2. It's only on the assembly line about 2 days. But chassis stretch is done at another building, it feeds into the line and two days later it exits the line. It still may need painted (which can take 2-4 weeks). Rain tested and other QC stuff.

Is there a way for a customer to track what stage of the process their unit is at in the building process? I would live to see pictures or video of a unit being assembled.

I was an accounting major in college, and your description below is reminding me of the nightmare of "Process Cost Accounting." For each line you show below, I'm thinking, "Debit A, Credit B," then, "Debit B, Credit C," then "Debit C, Credit D...." Oh yeah then you have to apply the overhead in a percentage carefully calculated...... And at year end you have to calculate if overhead was underapplied or over applied....... YAAAACCCKKKKK!!!!!!
Glad I was a Federal Auditor. Didn't have to DO the accounting, just audit it. HEE HEE HEE!

Thanks! Got an aluminum (1,300 lb) trailer for the Mitsubishi Evo X on order. Down to 280 calendar days left to retire. Practice this year, for many trips next year.

Oh, THAT would be fun. Are Sunseekers made in Elkhart? What is the process for joining a tour?
Thank you.

914 CR 1 is the mailing address. Most GPS devices can't seem to find it, so I always give my dealers the attached map.
