CO Detector Low Voltage Alert

Hi all..just back from 5 great days in Blackwoods Campground, Acadia National Park This is a Boondocking experience but they provide clean water dump station and nice restrooms but no showers. Able to run the gen a couple times each day but on 3rd night and during last morning the CO Detector flashed green and red and sounded alert every 15 seconds. According to unit that means low voltage. Anybody have thoughts on this? Also how long should be able to run on dual batteries with no shore power

How long the batteries last will depend on the demands you place on them. I watch my battery level gauge, and will fire up the generator as needed. I would bet 2-3 days if you are running a fridge, lights, water pump, etc.

Check as some fridges have a heat strip between doors to prevent condensation. It will greatly shorten your battery time. A quick search will show how to disable it. If you plan to do more boondocking, I suggest a battery monitor that measures current used and current replaced. The monitor panel lights are useless for this.
