Counter tops
Does anyone know why some sunseekers come with different counter tops on the same models or at least I have seen it on the 3050s
mine are solid with undermount sinks but I looked at some that were Formica with top lay sinks not a option that I know of just wondering

Normally the Forester has the solid counter tops and the Sunseekers have the Formica tops,

To my knowledge, neither the Sunseeker or the Forester have solid surface countertops. What you are describing are rolled edge laminate tops. They look like solid surface(no seams), but they're still laminate. I was able add them as an option on my sunseeker, even though they weren't listed as an option(at least at that time). The undermount sink and the folding glass topped stove were part of the package.

Yes I am sure you are right I thought the same thing they are not Corian and I do have the stove top cover but it was never mentioned by any of the dealers as an option but glad to have it

My understanding is that Foresters have solid surface countertops and Sunseekers have the no seam laminate. I think the differences you are seeing in the Sunseeker countertops is either a year to year change or a 2015 mid-year change.
I can't remember when I first started noticing the two types of countertops but it was as I was shopping the 2014 and early 2015 models. Just not sure when the change was made.
As far as I know the no seam laminate is standard and not an upgrade. Your dealer may not have known that it was being changed going forward or I may have misunderstood when I was shopping.

What's the real answer?
Brian, as a future purchaser of a 3050S, can you clear up this controversy as to what the countertops and options, if any, really are ?
Thanks

Things can certainly change in a year, but as of spring 2014, when I was shopping both Forester and Sunseeker, they both had laminate countertops. The Forester had the seamless laminate with an undermount sink and Sunseeker has seamed edges with a topmount sink as standard equipment. I opted for the Sunseeker, but upgraded to the tops that were standard in the Forester.

Thanks for the info I like you was looking at both most what I saw was the Formica seamed on sunseeker but did see the other as well but did not see an option for the counter tops I was dealing with 3 different dealers and had forgot to ever ask I made my deal on mine traveling down the road had already made reservations to pick up a car to turn in in Florida when I got a offer thousands of dollars cheaper with all the options I wanted plus side view cameras added on at factory didn't do any paper work until I picked up when it arrived from the factory I never thought to ask about counter tops

Seamed Formica was what we used on both models.
About a year ago, we upgraded the countertops in the Forester to Surf(x) 3D thermofoil. This eliminated the seam/edge on standard Formica. OMNOVA surf(x) 3D Laminates
This was such a hit, we wanted to add it to the Sunseeker line as well. In doing so, we still wanted to keep the product separation so we have since upgraded the Forester galley to LG Solid surface material.
Sunseeker on left, Forester on right.
