Cracked toad windshield

Found the Cherokkee's windshield cracked Tuesday while at Schoodic in Maine. No clue how it happened, there appears to be a small impact just below the wipers. Never saw anything while driving the Cherokee and I had put a rock guard on the rear bumper this spring. Only heavy construction was in Thomastom on Rte 1 though there was a few resurfacing projects going on. There goes the insurance. Looks like I'm adding the tow bar screen now

Hard to tell from your photo of the rear of the rig with the rock guard...but it looks like the rock guard is touching/dragging the ground. That may be your problem...the guard may be picking up stones and flinging them back.
I'm sure others with rock guards will chime in, but don't have on on our Lexi and don't plan on getting one. Just have some factory installed mud flaps, installed directly behind the rear duals.
Towed our Subi over 12,000 miles now with no problems, rock chips or damage.

Rock guards/flaps should NOT touch the ground, but should have at least 3" clearance. When they touch the ground they flip rocks, etc.

You can measure to the bottom of the bumper on your toad and then trim the flap to about 3" less than that measurement. I.E if it is 10" to the bottom of the bumper, trim flap to 7" max from the ground.
