Current draw of 4 door Dometic fridge on 3050?

Hi,

Any body have an accurate measurement of the amps drawn by fridge and DC fans and controls?

I'm looking into how much solar power I would need to keep my batteries fully charged while running the fridge on propane while parked in storage.

Thanks!

Wes

1.5 to 2 amps in gas mode for fridge.
Fridge fans may be 1 amp
Don't forget the other parasitic draws.
Co detector
Radio clock n lights
Etc etc

Sounds about right. I bought a Victron 700 battery monitor so I can get realtime data.

I keep my MH at a military base storage area (live in condo), and I want to be able to keep some things in refrig if I can in between trips.

I'm hoping I can get by with 150 watt panel on roof. I have two 12v 105 AH deep cycle batteries, so even if I can only go several days I'll be happy.

Will the storage facility allow you to have the propane on with a flame present when it cycles? If it's military I wouldn't want to break one of their rules. Walking by you can hear the fridge cycle (more the cooling fan) if it's quite.

Also, expect the fridge to go through about a tank of propane a month. Maybe less because it won't be opened often to grab items out.

I'm not an overly cautious RV owner ( gasp we drive AND fill up with the fridge on propane), but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the fridge on propane unattended that long and frequent.

I'm hoping for days, not months! Good point about base rules, I'll look into that.
