Dinette seat cushion replacement under warranty. Lol

Well when we took deliviery of our 2017 2300 we noticed that one of the seat cushions in the dinett had a small hole/tear in it so the deal took pics and sent them to the factory and of coarse the factory agreed to replace the cushion, well that turned out to be a roughly 2 month process but when I got home yesterday I had a huge box on the front porch from my dealer with the new cushion inside!!

I waited for the wife to get home to let her do the honors of opening the box and installing the cushion since she has been dealing with the dealer on this since the beginning, well she open the box and then I heard a bunch of cuss words so I thought I'd better go investigate... here's what I found. Lol needless to say they ordered the wrong color and the wife is and was PISSED! Lol. I called the dealer and emailed them the pics and the lady is reordering the cushion but the wife doesn't seem to find the humor in it as much as I do.. I just shook my head and said did you really expect them to get it right knowing all the other problems we have had with the dealer.... I'm surprised they mail the right cushion!!!

IMO, it's time to bypass the dealer and go straight to the manufacturer.

We had a similar experience, they covered it, but it took awhile. Hope you get a good resolve.

I agree and have already emailed the gentlemen I spoke to at forest river on another issue and he said he will look into it, might as well since he's already working on the whole issue as to why my Ac keeps throwing a E4 code.. it's now on its 3rd control board and after I finally got them to realize there's another issue as to why it keeps burning through boards I had to get the factory involved!

I hope that's not the case since the coach is a 2017 model but it would not surprise me at all however if that is the case I guess they are gonna have to send all new covers for the dinett.. we shall see!

They have been working one it since July 29th or right around that date and the factory authorized the replacement mid August and it supposedly took till this week to get the cushion which is the wrong color.. lol but I'm not sure why they just didn't send a cover instead of the whole cushion since it has a zipper on it and would be a easy swap!

Common sense?

" but I'm not sure why they just didn't send a cover instead of the whole cushion since it has a zipper on it and would be a easy swap! "

That would have been too easy and less expensive.
It would have required someone to engage and use that quickly disappearing item called "common sense". Unfortunately, it is not nearly as common as it used to be.

Hope they get the issue resolved to the wife's satisfaction.

Post cushions

We Warranty to have a cushion back replaced to match the color of the dinette seat cover of our motor home. After being told it was no longer available though the RV was only 2 years old. I went to the internet and directly to the manufacturer. It was available and so I sent them a picture and vin # etc and they sent us the cushion. Warranty time had passed so we paid for it ourselves but it was 1/2 the price quoted by the RV dealer. We had tried for along time to get the dealer to do it. Actually it took a total of 5 months persevere!!! I guess I would act directly with the company if I was in your place. It worked good for us.
