Dipstick

So don't go trying to make me feel stupid. When my rig has been setting still for awhile I feel as that's the ideal time to check my Generator oil. I unscrew the dipstick and it shows oil is low. I do nothing more than screw dipstick back in and back out. Magically I have plenty of oil. What gives, which reading is correct?

It all depends. I've seen them both ways You need to find a manual for that specific model. Generators don't hold much oil so the difference between a screwed or unscrewed stick can make a big difference.
