Does anyone remove tv sets for winter?
I have always removed the tv sets from my RV's for the winter, just wondering if anyone else did.

I leave them in. Just because mine sits on my property.
Seen to many campers broken into when they are kept at a storage lot.
If at storage lot I would remove what I can

I have never been concerned about theft (maybe I should be) I live in a rural area and it is parked next to my barn. I always was afraid our freezing weather would damage it.

Have always left ours in the camper through the winter months with no known damage found in the Spring. I've read somewhere in another forum or an internet search that its alright to leave them in the cold but do not attempt to use it until it has been warmed up for awhile. Not sure what the safe temperature is but I guarantee its well above freezing before I stay in it.

Our RV lives at a storage lot whenever we are not on the road, both televisions stay in the RV. Six years there so knock on wood never a problem.

Our trailer is on a seasonal site 30-40 mins from our house, so we take all our TVs home at the end of the season.

We've had TV's in 9 different RV's over the past 20 years and have always left the TV's in the units! Never had any problems/issues with any TV's!

...nor do I remove the stereo and the navigation and backup screens from our cars. Not required. As mentioned above with some equipment it's not a bad idea to let it warm and stabilize to the ambient temps before using... (Even then my only concern would be for devices with high voltages (CRT type TV's)) Your RV (and cars) are loaded with electronics that go to sub-zero temps and you use them immediately with no issues. (and the internal items like radio, ECU's etc. have no more environmental protection than any other of your electronic items...

Leave TVs in both Park Model and Fiver. If someone steals them new smart TV's will fit just fine!

I used to remove the TV, but after researching it some and seeing what others do on the forum here, I decided that this winter I am leaving it in..probably a greater risk of my damaging it by dismantling and hauling it into the house then leaving it in the trailer.

Stop and think folks, do you really think the dealers go out and remove all the tvs from the campers and store them inside a heated building???
Removal to prevent possible theft, but from the cold????
