Are you sure is isn't the dogs digging their paws in to the ground?

I have 2014 Silverado w the 6 speed auto and tow package. Just got back to so cal from Colorado and s Dakota pulling a 6,000+- lb trailer. I found the m setting to be the best for going down 6 to 8 degree grades. Don't use Cruze put it in tow haul. When going up the hill put it in m while driving it will pick the appropriate gear, which you can adjust up or down on the turn signal lever. Like was said above use the same gear going down you used going up. I barley needed to hit the brakes
