We have a 2012 3170 on a 2011 E450 chassis. I do my own maintenance. The Ford manual says to lubricate the driveline u-joints if equipped with grease fittings every 15,000 miles. I don't see any zerks on any of my u-joints. Does anyone have factory zerks on his or her driveline u-joints for a 2011 or later E450?
Factory joints won't have any and for good reason. For one it's a weaker joint and you can do more bad than good pumping in the wrong incompatible grease and /or blowing out the dust shields. On my Ford TV I have original ujoints with 161,000+miles with no zerk fittings.
