Yes, there is a rubber connector with an exposed metal lug and a rubber enclosed socket.

You may be able to find a suitable mate to hook to your battery wires without cutting off one or the other end to strip wires to connect your battery. Damaging the existing wiring on a warranted camper seems extreme.

You will not be able to "hold" the wires in place during extension or retraction, due to the movement of the arms. Additionally, the wires would need to be reversed at the battery for opposite movement.

Why would you have to cut wires if he has a 2 prong plug as stated?

Glad to hear the dealer is being so nice. Sounds like he is gonna take good care of you. Many dealers want to see the unit BEFORE they order any parts.

See my post OC. Finding a suitable plug mate might be problematic. (Except for you of course since you carry spare motors with you at all times! )

When you get them for $75 ea. including the torsion spring, why not? Got a 20' tube included for another $25. (don't carry it.)

Thanks for all the info, advice and recommendations.
It's in the hands of the dealer now that we are back from our trip
As I mentioned I chose not to stress over it after messing with it for a couple hours and talking to other campers.
We were on the Motorcycle most days and it is under warranty.I only missed it when watching "out door TV " Football on Sunday and that Fla. Sun got hot.

Prior to selling my 2014 Sunseeker 2900 I went through 4 fuses in 5 outings. The awning would pop out about 4 inches and die. Blew the fuse every time. When a mechanic came to my house he told me there was a recall notice for these and that there was a ground issue related with the chasis. I since traded it in for a 5th wheel to the same dealer letting him know the issue, and they said they would take care of it prior to selling since they have me in their computer with the calls.
