Factory Installed BBQ Option "GREAT"!

On our 2015 2500 TSF we got the factory option on the BBQ grill (Aussie) with the quick disconnect and so glad we did. Forest River did such a clean job. The grill connect on the rig has it own little access door. But... I was wondering how it was put in? Is this able to be used both ways (like a Extend-a-valve). How are the gas lines installed? Are they before or after the regulator. Will I still have to purchase and install a separate Extend-a-valve for my rig. All the Extend-a-valves I've seen seem to come as a grill & tank combination. I posted this on a old thread and felt it should probably be post a new. Sorry for the doubles.

I'm pretty sure the quick connect on the unit is already regulated... I did not like the aussie BBQ that came with my sunseeker. Really cooked terrible and poorly made I felt. I replaced mine with a $100 Costco stainless unit that's great. It used a detachable hose with a regulator which I removed and made an adapter that fit the 3/8" flair to a male quick connect. If I want to use a portable 20# propane tank on the grill I take off the adapter and put the hose back on (1 minute at the most) I've bought an assortment of propane fittings I can quickly assemble to be able to use just about any gas supply in case of emergency. including 1# bottles. Don't forget the yellow gas Teflon tape as part of your kit. I also bought a Camco 57282 10' Propane Quick-Connect Hose on amazon for $22 (higher now) That I use for connecting to the sunseeker quick disconnect by itself or with the 5" hose that came with the aussie for 10' to 15' away from the MH. Safer and no smoking up the awning. I think the Extend-a-stay-type-valves I've seen have both high pressure taps. High for connecting a portable tank to your empty on board tank and a Hi to use for other portable applications with a regulator or not SEE Camco 59123 Propane Brass Tee with 4 Port with 5' and 12' Hose see amazon a pretty good deal for all the hose/s you get.

Hope this helps
Ron

BBQ

I looked long and hard into the right BBQ for our Wildcatt Maxx 28RKX. The wife's uncle came up with a plan that would work, as i couldn't find the perfect solution.

We had gas plumbed to the rear of the trailer, I wanted something that would be shielded from the wind, as one of our favorites spots is always windy come dinner time, he mounted a tube to the bumper square tube and off the rear stabilizer bar mount. once assembled, which takes 1-2 minutes depending on temperature, it works awesome. not sure if picture will come through. Here is my dropbox link if it doesn't.

It is level, just looks skewed.

Thanks I think our Lowe's carries the Weber I'll measure my storage and see if it will fit and go check them out. I have a propane quick connection set up already under our slide for a grill or for the fridg. propane usage. Thanks for the Weber idea they are always good grills.
