factory installed BigFoot has built in alarm!

2014 2500TSC New - 2400 miles
Longest trip of the season so far, Mt Desert Island- midway, beep, beep, beep comes from the dash- no messages, no lights, all gages running clean and bright. Speaker symbol on Jensen radio blinking on and off. Turned radio off, beep, beep, beep continues. Stopped at a Chevrolet dealership, they scratched their heads.
I hadn't used the Big Foot levelers on this or the last 2 trips. I looked at the hand unit under the drivers seat, and it was "on". I pressed the all up button, there was a sound for second, and the beep, beep, beep stopped. A rolled up rug shifted and turned the unit on, one or more of the jacks had lowered an inch or so. Didn't cover this in the walk thru. Glad it was something minor and eventually figured it out myself. A lot of things about these units are like that- lots of interconnected systems. Experience is the best teacher.

That could have been a tough lesson.

Got another. Awning will not operate if the motor is idling.

Slide outs aren't supposed to come out on most motorhomes while driving, and I mean by pushing the button. That's been proven wrong. On our Tiffin, the HWH system wouldn't operate unless you had the ignition in the "on" position, and the emergency brake set. So, you could have the engine running to run the jacks down, provided the brake was on.

No doubt, not all motorhomes are alike. Glad you figured that beeping out. Happened to us going down the interstate in our Forester, but, we had researched the box already. Found out after MUCH aggravation about the awning too. That, I learned through trial and error.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.
