Failure to launch…

We should be in a one-way rental car right now headed to Buffalo to pick up our new Sunseeker 2650S tomorrow. However, sales person called yesterday afternoon to notify us water heater leaked when they were servicing it for delivery. We asked “How Long” and sales person replied "Could possibly be two weeks – have to order it then install". Of course we ordered mid-March when estimated delivery was 6-8 weeks ;o) All Sunseekers have 6 gallon tanks and for cost reason we’d guess they’re all the same model. Any real life experiences with how long this should really take?

They are all the same 6 gallon tank. Should be able to pick up locally, however if Atwood (or Suburban, can't remember who we use) covers it under warranty they may want to send the part out themselves.

Picked it up yesterday. We called up RVdirect and told them how long we've been waiting due to the surge in Class C sales, and they jumped right on it and got it fixed the next day. We drove it 3.5 hours from Buffalo NY to Rome, NY and we don't know how we've gone so long without something like this. That V-10 moves that 5.5 tons much quicker than anticipated. We left the Buffalo dealer at noon (i.e. lunch hour traffic) and speeding up to merge into lanes was easy. Thanks to both Forest River for building an awesome yet affordable motorhome, and RV direct for selling it at an affordable price yet providing top quality service and support. Why can't everything be like this
