Festivals
Looking for input on festivals, etc. that you may have attended and would/would not recommend. Where did you go, what did you do, would you go again, where did you camp...
We are planning some trips over the next couple of years and would love the input from the member of the forum.

Fall Festival @ Grayson Highland SP in Virginia, if you like bluegrass music. Could not get a site there when we went so we stayed @ Grindstone CG on the other side of Mt. Rogers; only about a 25 minute drive from there & really a nicer campground. See you are from SE Va. so it would not be too far for you as it is n SW Va.

Summerfest in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They have just about any type of music you would want to hear. It does draw quite a crowd.

You would enjoy the Mountain State Forest Festival in Elkins, WV. Usually late in Sept./early Oct. This year Sept 26-Oct4. Online at forestfestival.com.

Festivals
Lighthouse festival in the Apostle Islands, Bayfield, WI, early September (1-19 this year). Extra boat trips to many of the islands' lighthouses. Great camping spot 3 miles north at Legendary
Waters Casino campground. Just left there.

Kitchener Waterloo Oktoberfest is the First and Second weekend in Kitchener Ontario. Largest Bavarian festival outside Germany. Many festhallen, cultural events, world famous Farmers Market.
