filling water tank

Ok I'm tired plus old but need help. I can only
find the one way to fill the tank, on the pass side
and I have to push the hose into the opening. Please
tell me there is another way.

thanks

What RV do you have? Both the fivers that I owned were like that.

Yes that is the only way as the Sunseekers do not come standard with a pressure fill line. It was very easy to add one to my 3120. Just about a foot of pex line, 2 Tees and a valve. The valve is accessed from the water filter access hatch.

I made a connector to do the job. That white flex hose with a spring on it (WalMart) that comes with the blue water filter used for the city water connection. Add a 90 degree elbow, add a simple water shutoff valve connect this assembly to your water hose. The water shutoff keeps me from walking back and forth to the hose bib and I can throttle the water to prevent over pressurization/spill overs.

ATV, thanks for the info. Do you have any pics?

Thanks to the others that replied, but I need
comments that relate to a Sunseeker/Forester.

Phelpo if you don't mind me asking, what's the issue or problem with the way it is now? I have a 3120 Forest River and have never had any issue filling up the tank the way its set up.. I do have one of the yellow and clear hoses that fits at the end of the fresh water hose that sticks into the fill hole.. turn on the water and let it go.. if it happens to over fill no harm..

Ok I try and fill the water tank using the opening on
The pass side by the rear slide. First the water poured out of the blue empty line
Then when I closed the value the water poured back out of the opening

Don't understand what is going on

The blue drain at the bottom has to be closed, but if water is coming out you may have a kink in the vent only letting air out the filler hose.. also this is the filler neck I use.. not sure if it slows down the flow or makes it smaller but it works for me.. and pretty cheap..

Yes, if water is spilling out of the fill, then the vent line is probably kinked or is plugged, thus rendering the vent useless.

I never took any photos and I really don't want to pull the panels back off to get a photo. The line just connects between the cold water piping drain line and the fresh water tank drain line which are about a foot apart. It backfill the water tank through the tank drain line. I also had to relocate the tank drain valve so it is downstream from where the new line Tees in.
