We just got back from a weeklong trip from Illinois to Gettysburg, PA with our new (to us) 2014 2869DS. We bought it with just under 1100 miles on it.
For the most part it performed well. Things rattled in the galley but padding helped.
The biggest issue was that the bathroom mirror over the sink rattled right off the wall on US 40. Fortunately it was safety glass, but it did shatter. All 4 screws came right out of the wall! Is this something I need to bring to Forest River's attention or fix ourselves? If so, how?
Also the antenna handle rattled off. My husband is turning it to get the antenna up and all these little insulation beads are raining down on us. Then the whole assemble comes down. Any advice for this?
I've also noticed during this trip a crack in the shower wall where the sprayer is screwed in.
There is a crack in the cab where one of the Velcro buttons is attached.
I am surprised to see have these issues in such a new unit. We were on interstate highway or US routes--no off road.
i have same unit have 10000 miles on now pa to sd last year and 7 weekends so far this year,You need to check your air bag pressure, and tires all the time, i found that 65 lbs and 1/3 thank of fresh water in holding tank makes for a better ride. still have some oven noise. only problem so far was 2 dead house batteries, fuse for awing trip, gasket on rear window, kitchen door warping, replaced door now need new deacals,
I had a lot of the same issues mentioned
I think low batteries (low water) in the Battery's was causing my awning breaker trips ever since I stopped extending the awning until shore power is attached no more trips.
My shower door seal sweep leaked water everywhere and water delaminated floor so I put a better one on and caulked all the gaps not to mention re-gluing the floor.
My first RV had the antenna crank come apart. The spring that holds tension worked the screw loose
I put it all back together and didn't have anymore problems
Typical growing pains from what I read
You just gotta keep a positive and patient attitude and work it all out
I learn something new on these boards every week

The noise. ...would love to hear how others deal with the NOISE.
I took the dealer shop manager for a ride around town and he walked around inside the coach and found "3" noises that he was able to isolate and stop back in the shop
I still got a noisy little "squirrel" in my kitchen that comes and goes

We have the same coach. After a few trips my wife added that padded shelf liner material to all the shelves and now our rig is very quiet even on less than smooth roads.
