First trip in 3170!

First trip this weekend with new Sunseeker 3170. Everything worked well, no issues! Floorplan works great for us. Very pleased with it.

Definitely need the alignment done so will get that done before next trip. But overall drove better than I thought it would without any modifications. Tow/haul mode works great going down steep grades.

Stopped at the scales and while close - within limits - We were fully loaded with 2 adults, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, full fuel, full propane, 1/3 tank fresh, empty grey and black and usual camping stuff.

Front - 4700
Rear - 9460
Total - 14160

This forum is great - learned a lot on my previous TT from Crossroads forum and glad to have this one for Forest River!

What is your MPG? Search for alignment and get a lot of info.
So far we are happy with our 3170. The issues are minor and I have corrected them.
You will enjoy it.
Thinking about replacing the steering stabilizer with a heavy duty.
Alignment was well worth the money.

Alignment was well worth the money.
Filled up twice (half tank each time) - 8.3mpg on one, 8.5mpg on the other. Cruise was set at about 64 most of the time. Had some decent hills to climb. What mpg have you been getting in yours?

Have been reading a lot on the alignment. Only have 1500 miles on it now, but want to go ahead and get it done. Will see how that goes then look at steering damper. Sway from trucks, wind was not bad, so hoping alignment does the trick to "tighten up" the steering.

On the last trip was getting 8.7. Mostly flat. Just took delivery on march 28th. Had the alignment done at 1200 miles before our Disney trip.

Search for roadmaster. It is under the Forester forum. I am following trnoldea. He installed a roadmaster stabilizer. Waiting on comments on his alignment.

I get the same MPG on my 3170. I travel solo, I have the computer desk option. Which option do the rest of you have on 3170? Kids zone or computer desk? I love the computer desk. Cat sits under my chair while I'm on the computer.

We got the kids zone. Grand kids now have there own bed and when we travel alone, the dog loves the couch. I guess the back of the couch acts as a back bolster.
We choose the 3170 because it sleeps everyone and still have a dinette and couch. I am thinking about putting a gas donation jar on the table.

Same reason I got the computer zone. I got tired of using the dinette for my computer.

I agree with your putting a gas donation jar out. I gotta put my cat to work to pay for his litter and food.
