Fresh water tank

I dewinterized my 2014 3050S. Closed valve that drains the tank. I was putting water in tank and water drained out of black hose near the blue and red hoses underneath. Why would it drain? Digital monitor still says tank empty. However with pump on I get water. What gives?

1) Sure you got the right valve, not the winterize pump valve? If you put water in the top and it runs right out the bottom, then that's a pretty good sign the drain is still open.

2) Did you fill it long enough that it may have just overflowed out the overflow line? This would be a very delayed running out after filling for a while.

3) Conversely, gauge will still show empty if you are below 1/3 (if 1/3 if your first light). (Or the gauge could be broken or a loose wire etc.)

Do the black and grey tank gauges show correctly? The gauges are traditionally bad on Rv's but it is usually black or grey tank. Some times the vent/overflow is too far into the tank and water will come out before tank is full. You can open FW darin and roughly measure ( using buckets) how much water comes out.
