Fresh Water Tank

I'm having a hard time filling my fresh water tank. The hose has fallen or is kinked. I'm assuming I need to remove the bed and start there. Any help would really be appreciated.

The fixer teller people on here will need to know some details about the unit so you might want to get that ready

It's a 2014 3010 Sunseeker. The water just backs out. Is the line under the bed? There are some very knowledgeable people here so I hope someone can give me some direction.

Before you start dismantling you might try some compressed air down the vent at the inlet. Worked for me when it would only take water slowly.

Bednarski, we have the same rig. Yes, you can lift the wood cover closest to the outside wall under your bed and see the fill line. You can see that it is at a very low angle since the fill port is under the slide and possibly has a droop between the outside and the tank inlet. With this droop, the weight of incoming water has to push water uphill into the tank. Mine had a strap attached to the bed framing that was supposed to eliminate the droop, but it was broken and let the line sag. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, we carry a three foot piece of hose with just a female connector which can be carefully inserted to get past this droop.

Thanks for the great information. How did you permanently fix the droop in the line? I'll tackle this job next week if I can be assured that the line will be fixed for good.

Glad to help. Found the broken strap late one evening while camping on our last trip of the season and didn't have anything with me to replace it with at the time. So, it's on the list. You know, the list of things we all have that we are going to get around to.

Used your Round Tuit today and put zip ties in two places under the bed (where the remnants of the OEM ones still were) to remove the sag. Can now fill with the hose wide open, which came in handy today because I was de-winterizing and sanitizing.

Fresh Water Tank

Trying to help some friends who just bought a 2017 2500TS with the fresh water fill. Seems to be a kinked vent tube. Water backs up immediately when filling with water hose. Any idea where I can find it on this model ? Thx

Under the bed is fresh water tank...I've had trouble adding water myself it seems if you push your garden hose into the opening it will fill must be a pressure thing.

Just be careful with those... we've had several reports here when they shoved them down the fill tubes and pulled the 8" hose off them when removing leaving the 8" hose stuck in the fill tube.
Many have added a hose clamp to keep the hose on.

What others have said previously first check fill and vent tubes ensuring no sags or kinks in line. I just bought a device called Secure-fill. This is a small hose attached to a vented cap that attaches to the fresh water gravity fill inlet. You attach your hose and you can easily fill the FW tank. I'll make a short video tomorrow and post it here to give everyone a first hand look at it. It worked great!

It's not the vent tube. It's the fill tube running uphill from the fill opening. Like others, we use a 2 or 3 foot section of water fill hose, and push it most of the way in.
