Furnace - AC Question

Hi Everyone..

This may seem dumb, but to me it doesn't make sense. We used our Sunseeker 3050S for the second time since we took delivery this past weekend. I turned the furnace on becuase it dropped down to 39 degree in NW PA.

When I turned the furnace on the AC Unit kicked on as well and started moving some air. The furnace is working and blowing heat out of its ducts, but the AC Ducts is also blowing air, almost like it's in fan mode.

Keep in mind that our Coach has the Heat Pump Option as well. However I had the Thermostat in the Furnace Mode, not the Heat Pump Mode.

Is this a normal function of the furnace for the AC Unit to kick on as well? In our TT, when I turn the Thermostat to Furnace Mode, just the furnace comes on (then again, our TT does not have a Heat Pump).

If this should not be happening, what may be causing both units to kick on?

Thanks everyone.

Set your thermostat to "auto" instead of high/low and it should do it.

Look at page 9

Thanks.. I went through every piece of paper that came with our Coach.. Wouldn't you know it, we do not have one on the AC Unit and Thermostat. Go Figure.

We'll do that next trip out....
