Furnace and fans

We have a 2013 3010DS. Last night we turned the heater on and both the heater fan and the AC fan started. The heater was pushing out hot air through the the lower vents and freezing cold air was coming out of the ceiling vents. It's like both heat and AC are on at the same time. Don't know how to just have heat. My feet are sweating and the rest of me is freezing!!!!!

Set the fan on the thermostat to AUTO.

Thank you. That seems to have fixed the issue.

It's a good idea to run the heater once in a while before the cold season
I didn't do that and just like the "first use of the season at home " lots of dirt and dust need to be burned off
Needless to say the first time I needed the heat back in March,
I smoked the place out and my detectors were going off and the unit filled with haze
Didn't smell too great either
Thank goodness for the Fantastic Fan!

Good suggestion. We did have that nasty smell when we used it for the first time this fall.
