Been camping 5 months, so first time in cold weather. As we were backing in, our neighbor said he'd sold an identical rig. So, he helped us with the furnace.
However, it runs for about 5 minutes and cuts off. If I flip on/off it will restart, but always stops in 5 minutes

Sounds like its tripping an overheat sensor. That can be due to poor gas flow through the heater/part blocked. Or poor combustion causing overheating, or even a bad sensor with false reading. Might be good to have it checked and repaired soonest. You don't want to overheat anything for real.
FWIW: had an issue with the furnace too--
Things to check:
low voltage
flame burning unclean-- yellow vs blue
clogged output or input (stuff in your tubes )
bad limit switch, or wrong one (I replaced 2 so far)
and finally, never been cleaned.
may be other issues not discovered.
