generator help

We just got our first RV,a 2002 Sunseeker LE 31.Can you work on it in place or does it slide out? It is a Onan .Thanks for any info or tips.

Look under the generator and see if you can see some sort of angle irons that would be used as a slide rails.

Does the gas tank have to be more than half full for gen to start?

This is a quote from my friend that has worked a great deal on his Onan:

"I know the generator shuts off before it uses all the gas. At least a quarter tank is left and maybe more so the RV and be driven to the gas station. I would guess the generator has to be taken out to do much work on it."

It is fixed. It can be worked on in place, but that depends on what needs worked on.
