Our 2690SF generator has performed splendidly for the 35 odd hours of its operating life, however the last two days, camped at about 7500 fleet, it started well but then roughened up and died before we even got the slide fully retracted. Is it this altitude sensitive, or is it a problem developing?
What kind of generator do you have is it a built in Onan or something else. But yes they can be altitude sensitive. The Onan generators have a altitude adjustment on them.
Think that altitude is the problem. We were at a little over 5k ft near Durango and it ran fine, at 7.2k in Great Dunes NP it died after a few minutes, back at about 5k in Colorado Springs it runs fine again. The great plains lie ahead with consistent low altitudes so that will be the iron test
