GPS and "Route 1"

In the current issue of Family Motor Coaching someone mentions using a GPS App called Route 1 to identify low clearances (covered bridges on conutry roads, etc...) in enough time and distance to change their route.

Doing a Google search I found that Route 1 is a Point Of Interest app for Garmin GPS units and allows you some control of height clearance settings.

Has anyone tried downloading and installing this app or something similar on the Magnadyne GPS units? I have not been able to determine if the Magnadyne is compatible with the Garmin GPS.

I tried a search on the Forum but that was unsucessful, with most GPS threads dealing with map updates etc...

Didn't find anything on Route 1, but Low Clearance names their files Route 1. Bought one for Garmin and one for MS Streets & Trips 2013. It's a lot of messing around to get rid of all the superfluous data, but seems to be ok. You can set the alert for 0-200,000 ft (37.88 miles). I set mine at 100,000 ft.(18.94 miles)

Looking around the settings I think you will find that the Magnadyne is based on Tom Tom.

It works with several brands/models (including Tom Tom). Here's the compatibility link:
